Bagdon Environmental provided wetland and ecological services for the NYSDOT funded Elm Street Bypass in the Town of Colonie, Albany County, New York. The purpose of the by-pass is to divert truck traffic to and from an existing industrial area from a road that also serves a number of residential areas. Several alternative routes were reviewed by Bagdon Environmental to assess existing conditions and potential impacts.
Services provided by Bagdon Environmental for analysis of by-pass alternatives included:
- Wetland delineation.
- Preparation of a wetland delineation report.
- Section 401 Water Quality Certification determination.
- Preparation of Wetlands Finding Letter pursuant to EO 11990.
- Ecological surveys of existing conditions, including a habitat evaluation for potential endangered species.
