Elm Street Bypass Wetland Delineation and Ecological Impact Assessment

Bagdon Environmental provided wetland and ecological services for the NYSDOT funded Elm Street Bypass in the Town of Colonie, Albany County, New York. The purpose of the by-pass is to divert truck traffic to and from an existing industrial area from a road that also serves a number of residential areas. Several alternative routes were reviewed by Bagdon Environmental to assess existing conditions and potential impacts. 

Services provided by Bagdon Environmental for analysis of by-pass alternatives included:

  • Wetland delineation.
  • Preparation of a wetland delineation report.
  • Section 401 Water Quality Certification determination.
  • Preparation of Wetlands Finding Letter pursuant to EO 11990.
  • Ecological surveys of existing conditions, including a habitat evaluation for potential endangered species.
